2023 - As Escolhas do Puto

A minha impressão é que o mundo piorou no ano passado. Duas guerras às portas da Europa, decréscimo da qualidade de vida, instabilidade política e forças de extrema-direita a ganhar terreno são apenas algumas infelizes evidências. A música editada também não escapou, pois 2023 pareceu-me de qualidade inferior aos últimos anos. Foi também o ano que nos deixaram algumas figuras lendárias, como Jeff Beck, David Crosby, Tom Verlaine, Barrett Strong, Burt Bacharach, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Harry Belafonte, Gordon Lightfoot, Rita Lee, Tina Turner, Jane Birkin, Astrud Gilberto, Sixto Rodriguez e Carla Bley, e que nos levou prematuramente outras, como Alan Rankine, Trugoy the Dove, Steve Mackey, Vivian Trimble, Andy Rourke, Elísio Donas, Sinéad O'Connor, Brian McBride, Sara Tavares, Shane MacGowan e Amp Fiddler. No entanto, registo alguns pontos positivos: foi o ano em que Silly Boy Blue, banda da qual faço parte, consolidou a sua formação e editou 2 singles, e foi o ano em que bati novamente o record pessoal de concertos assistidos. Além disso, houve música de qualidade a ser produzida e lançada, e este balanço pretende evidenciar isso, tal como o companheiro Tipo o fez há uns dias. Duas curiosidades em relação à lista de músicas: nunca pensei ter uma música dos Beatles e outra dos Rolling Stones; há uma música da cantora Silly Boy Blue a seguir a uma música da banda Silly Boy Blue. Renovo os votos do ano passado, desejando-vos um 2024 repleto de boa música, saúde e um mundo melhor!
